Spice of the Week!

White pepper: This tart, slightly sour pepper is great on fish and in soups. It looks really cool in a clear grinder with black lava salt.

Philly Cheese-steak Zen's style

A veggie-meat philly cheese-steak.

You will need:

3 jalapenos
1 bag morning star veggie crumbles
mozzarella cheese
swiss cheese
garlic salt
fresh garlic
hoagie roll

Add crumbles to a sauce pan with a pit of water and the chopped fresh jalapenos. Add a generous amount of garlic, garlic salt, paprika, and cayenne. Well thats cooking toast the hoagie and melt the cheese (keep it melted) when the crumbles are done spread mustard liberally on the bun and place washed lettuce on the bun as well sprinkle with garlic salt add the crumbles and pour the cheese sauce on top. Enjoy!

  1. i got to eat it and all I'll say is, yum yum, gimme some,

  2. Great recipe (and great photo)! If you want one without crumbles, try subbing oyster mushrooms for them. It works well too!

  3. sounds so yummy! I've been craving a philly cheesesteak but trying to steer clear of meat, so thank you for this recipe!
